So after giving it thought and looking at the suggestions of the other users, I have decided to go with USS Nautilus as the ship for the game.
Now it is time to meet the crew.
Captain Antony Ramirez. Former Captain of the USS Dauntless, Ramirez lost his ship during a moment of hesitation during the Genesis War. Since then he has been on extended leave, sailing the oceans of Earth. Now, by order of Admiral Wesley, he has returned to active duty to command the USS Nautilus. Despite assurances he is ready, Ramirez wonders if he will freeze again in combat and lose anothership. Some in Starfleet wonder the same thing.
Commander Xelona is a Vulcan first and a Starfleet Officer second. A student of the Kholinar, she spent her early life as a adept. Eventually she sought her answers in the stars. She served as XO for Ramirez on the Dauntless and rejoins him on the beidge of the Nautilus. Loyal and trusting of her Captain, she will follow him through the very gates of hell if he asks it.
Dr. Michael Barnes is an old school doctor of Irish decent. He is one part surgeon, one part GP and one part counselor. Despite many years in Starfleet, he sees each mission with an interest and light-heatedness that makes him one of the most likeable Doctors anyone could hope to meet.
Commander David Fisk, from Snowy River in Australia, started as an enlisted man and spent a number of years working up to the rank of Commander. A more than competant Engineer, this tour on the Nautilus is his last. Feeling that the introduction of isolinear systems and transwarp drive has Engineers giving way to technicians, he is an old dog who doesn't want to learn new tricks.
Flight Control officer of the USS Nautilus, Lowell was sent to the rehab colony at Auckland for striking a superior officer years ago. He was released and served with Ramirez on the Dauntless during the Genesis War. With his own skeletons in the closet, he can't help but keep a close eye on the Captain, worried he might "choke" again.
Lt. Cmdr. Jack Porter is the chief Tactical officer on the Nautilus and he takes his position very seriously. A decorated vetern of the Gernesis War, his views on tactics are revolutionary and sometimes unconventional, but despite that, he remains a team player and looks forward to working with Captain Ramirez.
Hailing from Alpha-Centauri, Lieutenant Zapestra is the chief of Ops on the Nautilus. She has an upbeat and engaging personality and can be considered quite flirty. A proud member of her race, she enjoys the diversity that space travel affords her.
Lt. Serovin is the Chief of Security on the Nuatilus. A young Andorian officer, he served his Cadet Cruise on the Saratoga during the Genesis War. Hot tempered and passionate about many things, Serovin is not a by the book officer who may need to be reigned in by his Captain.
Hailing from New Copenhagen, on the Terra Nova colony, Lt. JG. Rani Sejunder is a dedicated scientist, who sees her upcoming tour on the Nautilus as a chance to explore the galaxy and see things colony life or university just don't afford. Somewhat reserved and cold, she is brilliant but arrogant.
Cadet Isha is the first Elasian/Troyian in Starfleet and has been assigned as the Yoeman for Captain Ramirez. Fresh out of the Academy, this is to be her Cadet Cruise. How she fairs will a surprise, even to her.
