Heh..just want to point out something. The first series introduced not only blacks and women to Trek, but other cultures as well. It wasn't just three characters with super egos :) TNG had nothing...

I'm rather fond of the Enterprise theme too, so it gets my vote. My real choice wasnt up there though. My all time favorite theme was for Star Trek (insert # here) First Contact.

The book does say that Pon Far is of 'biological and anthropological origins'. From what I can tell reading...
